National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea has selected the artist of the year and held exhibition from 1995. The total number of selected artists was 23 until 2010. This exhibition looks back on the history of 23 artists and announces a new direction. We expect audiences experience artworks and life of 23 artists through this chance and find a future direction of Korean Art. 현대미술관은 1995년부터 해마다 올해의 작가를 선정하여 전시를 하였으며, 2010년까지 총 23명의 작가가 선정되었다. 이번 전시는 올해의 작가 1995-2010년의 역사를 되돌아보며 앞으로의 방향을 짚어보고 공표하는 자리이다. 이번 전시를 통해 올해의 작가들의 작품세계와 삶의 이야기를 들여다볼 뿐만 아니라 향후 한국미술의 방향을 가늠해볼 수 있는 소중한 기회가 되길 기대한다. |
